Southern Adirondack REALTORS® Launch Community Fund to Strengthen Local Impact
Queensbury, NY — April 27, 2026 — The Southern Adirondack REALTORS® Inc. (SAR) is proud to announce the launch of the Southern Adirondack REALTORS® Community Fund, a new initiative focused on supporting local nonprofits and strengthening the communities that make up the Southern Adirondack region.
At its core, the Community Fund is about connection—bringing together REALTORS®, local organizations, and neighbors to support the people and places that make this region home. The fund was created to provide a more meaningful and lasting way to give back, supporting programs and services that enhance quality of life, promote housing stability, and meet real needs across the community.
“REALTORS® are more than real estate professionals—we’re part of these communities every day,” said Scott Cross, Association President. “This fund is a way to come together and support the organizations doing important work right here at home.”
The Community Fund will provide financial support to qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations serving Warren, northern Washington, and northern Saratoga counties. Applications for 2026 funding are now open, offering local nonprofits an opportunity to apply for support for projects and initiatives that directly benefit the community. The application deadline is June 1, 2026.
To help grow the fund and expand its impact, SAR will host its Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser on Thursday, May 14, at Hiland Park Country Club Golf Course in Queensbury. The event is open to the public and welcomes golfers of all skill levels, along with local businesses and community members interested in sponsoring, donating, or participating.
Participants can expect a day centered around community spirit, connection, and a shared goal of giving back. Proceeds from the tournament will directly support the Community Fund and the organizations it serves.
“We really wanted to create something that brings people together while making a difference,” said Committee Chair Eden Whitaker. “Whether you golf, sponsor, or donate, it all helps support local nonprofits and strengthens our community as a whole.”
