2024 SAR Scholarship Program
Applications are Now OPEN
Southern Adirondack REALTORS® congratulates all 2024 graduates and wish them success in their future endeavors! This year’s SAR Scholarship Program is now open and accepting applications from candidates whose parent or grandparent is an active SAR member.*
I. Criteria for Student Applicants
Applicant must be a child or grandchild of a SAR Realtor® or Affiliate member in good standing for a minimum of 3 years.
Applicant must be enrolling as a full-time Freshman in a college or higher learning institute for the Fall of 2024.
Applicant must be a current NYS resident, verified by a current driver’s license, student ID, voter ID, or other official form of communication. (PO Box addresses will not be considered for residency purposes)
Applicant allows SAR to publish, print, or otherwise disseminate information to the public regarding recipients of scholarship awards.
II. Award Process
Award decisions are made by the SAR Member Services Committee. This committee reserves the right to award or not award any scholarships at its discretion.
Incomplete applications, late applications, or applications failing to meet the stated criteria or guidelines will not be considered.
Applicant names remain confidential, and applications are reviewed by an assigned application number.
Scholarship recipients will be announced in early July 2024.
Scholarship awards are only distributed upon proof of enrollment, verified by a photocopy of the applicant’s college ID provided to the SAR office. Verification must be received no later than September 30, 2024. Scholarship awards are sent via check unless otherwise agreed upon.
III. Scholarship Application Guidelines
Applications must be fully completed to be considered.
All applications must be typed or completed online; no handwritten applications will be accepted.
Applications are due by Monday, May 27, 2024 at 5:00 PM. Applications submitted in-person must be delivered to the SAR office at 296 Bay Rd. Queensbury, NY 12804. Applications submitted via mail must be postmarked on or before the deadline date.
